Katie possesses a wealth of experience working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults across various settings since 2009. Prior to her current role as Registered Manager for Eden, she served as a Deputy Manager in a 5-bed, Ofsted registered Children’s home specifically designed for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Her commitment to supporting and caring for others also extends to her previous employment experiences as a support worker and team leader in the same children’s home.
In addition to her work with children, Katie has contributed her skills and expertise as a learning support worker in a specialized speech and language unit, catering to children aged 11 to 16. Her primary focus was on helping young individuals with diverse disabilities and learning difficulties achieve academic success and acquire essential life skills.
Katie firmly advocates the significance of maintaining both physical and mental health. For the past 11 years, she has operated her own fitness instruction business. Through this venture, Katie has emphasized inclusivity by delivering specialized fitness classes for individuals with physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties. These classes include chair-based exercises tailored to young people and adults aged 16 and above, particularly those who utilize wheelchairs or face mobility challenges.
Katie’s dedication to promoting inclusivity and group exercise demonstrates her commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can engage in fitness activities and improve their well-being.
Currently working towards completion of Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management.

Katie’s interests include theatre, dance, travel, and good food. She has 3 (three) childrenand enjoys quality family time.
