Matthew joined Trust Care Management in 2022 as the Deputy Manager for Lorac Lodge.
Matthew has worked in children’s residential care since 2019 where he began his career as a primary care practitioner. By developing his skills and having a strong work ethic, Matthew was quickly promoted to senior care practitioner. Matthew was part of an award for “best team” award and reached the finals of the national children and young people’s awards. Matthew was promoted to Deputy Manager and due to his clear leadership abilities moved to support another home that was rated by OFSTED as ‘requires improvement.’ This move was successful, as Matthew supported the Homes Manager and embedded a child focussed therapeutic ethos into the team, empowering them and leading from the front resulting in a OFSTED rated ‘good’ in the next inspection. Throughout Matthews Journey he has been able to gain experience of working with children and young people with a variety of different needs, such as Child sexual exploitation, Child criminal exploitation, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties and experience with children with Autism and ADHD.
Matthew is working towards his NVQ level 3 in children and young people and is close to completing this.
Matthew has a keen interest in football but the majority of his time is taken up with his two young children that are his world.
