Words From The Manager

With a robust foundation of over 21 (twenty-one) years in the healthcare sector, my journey has been marked by a profound commitment to excellence and a passion for fostering independence through person-centered care. My career transition from a hairdresser to healthcare was inspired by the birth of my children, leading me to embrace the role of a night carer at a local nursing home. There, I dedicated myself to meeting the diverse needs of residents, an experience that enriched my understanding of care and the importance of promoting autonomy.

As a fervent advocate for professional growth and team empowerment, I have continually sought to expand my expertise and knowledge. This dedication to personal and professional development culminated in earning a degree in adult nursing. My tenure of 15 (fifteen)years at the internationally acclaimed St Andrews Burns and Plastics unit at Broomfield Hospital stands as a testament to my commitment to clinical excellence and adherence to best practices.

In my current capacity as a registered manager, I specialize in Dementia and complex Nursing Care —areas that resonate deeply with me on a personal level. For the past 5 (Five) years, I have instilled the importance of process and structure in every aspect of care delivery. My guiding principle is to ensure that everyone receives compassionate care that honours their dignity, respects their wishes, and safeguards their safety, all while valuing their unique life experiences.

My aspiration is to continually strive for excellence, not only in my own practice but also in leading my team to achieve the highest standards of care. It is my firm belief that everyone is entitled to receive the utmost quality of care, and I am dedicated to making that vision a reality.
