A Letter From Mr. R.F.Welch,
My wife, Janet Welch and her birthday/54″ wedding anniversary celebrations I am writing to you, just to say a big thank you for all you done to make the above occasion such a success. No words can describe how joyous and special you made this day for Janet and myself.
All your staff put a warmth and glow into our hearts, which I know was reflected throughout your home, without effecting the dignified way they carried on carried on working.
Janet and I(when you can find her, somewhere underneath the floral overgrowth) would like to see everyone get the benefit of these floral tribute’s and certainly you have our approval to distribute them around where ever you deemed appropriate.
Also on behalf of Wickford Ballroom Club, I know they would also like to pass on their thanks for the welcoming hospitality shown to them.
Seeing past the mist, lust when I thought everything was o.k. then Essex County Council decided that Jan’s future needs are leading towards going into another residential nursing care home: Although very saddened by the need to move. Jan, Ihave to make sure Jan and my long- term needs are met. The fact is Ihave a 26 round trip mile journey every day whenlcome to see Jan, and at 76 with Parkison illness plus other issues, will become more difficult to do so, and burying my head in the sands, is not the answer, therefore I have agreed to a transfer Jan to a new home.
However I can’t just allow Jan to leave you all without expressing my deepest and sincere thanks to all, whom have looked after Jan’s care, this extends to all levels from on-site caretaker’s to manager Joann, your friendly attitude in welcoming Jan, but to also her family and close friends too. This I know has been well received by all whom have visited here, and walked away thinking this is as a friendliest place for Jan to be, what is a very difficult and challenging environment.
My aim had always been and still is to keep Jan as happy as Ican, to keep her bubbly personality going , to let that shine through onto others, and not her illness, this could only be achieved, with help from all your wonderful staff, and cannot fault their commitment to looking after my Jan in the best possible way. There was nothing more reassuring to me when I saw on many occasions, your staff giving Jan that friendly cuddle when she needed it and cheering her up, when times were getting difficult for her, to me that support is priceless.
Without a doubt Jan and I are going to miss all of you, and yes, we can all find fault, but finding happiness ,in difficult times, is far more harder to do.
Moving on, to us is just another step forward in life’s journey, therefore and wish you all well and happiness of your own life journeys.
Our sincere thanks and our love go out to all of you.
Jan & Ron.
