To effectively co-ordinate and oversee the activities of the clinical and care staff to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to service users. To promote high standards of person-centred care and the professional development of staff who provide care and support. Also, responsible to oversee that all staff are equipped with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks, will undertake practical delivery of in-house training programmes whilst also arranging for external trainer to do it, where expertise is not available in house.
I have 33 years of experience in the care industry in both the NHS and private sector. I have been with Focus Care Supported Living since June of 2014. I have completed management level NVQ level 5 and NMC Nurse teaching qualification. I have also worked as an Operations Director for this organisation for several years, I have been an integral member of expanding businesses in supported living facilities within Suffolk, Peterborough and Lowestoft for two businesses, for individuals with complex needs discharged from hospital detention and preventing admission into hospital.
I have continued to maintain my statutory training requirements, expanded my professional development portfolio through attending various courses, conferences. I am a qualified mentor and nurse assessor for nursing students.
